Decided to have a go at some Minecraft stuff. This was my fourth and most successful attempt, because I decided to give up on VRay and switch back to Mental Ray because it's what I've always used and I like it more

Not much of a story intended behind this... Steve? has decided to have a day off from adventuring and is instead just relaxing. He's not in the shot because he's gone for a walk. (and because I didn't even try modelling him lol)

Minor post work was done; since the grass, rose and leaves require opacity maps I couldn't do ambient occlusion so I added a small bloom in Photoshop and then added a warming photo filter over the whole thing. Overall, I think it came out alright
